We've had users deleting messages out of a shared mailbox. We cannot have users removing messages. Currently they have FullAccess on the Shared Mailbox. I'm working in PowerShell and trying the commands:
Add-MailboxPermission -Identity xxx@xxx.com -User xxx@xxx.com -AccessRights ReadPermissions
However, I cannot open the mailbox via Outlook or OWA.
I've also tried:
Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity xxx@xxx.com:\Inbox -User xxx@xxx.com -AccessRights ReadItems
Neither of those commands are allowing users to open the mailbox to view the messages. The only way I get get the shared mailbox to open on another user account (via Outlook or OWA) is to give them FullAccess.
Are there any other options, or can I actually get the results I want? We're using Office 365, but it's Exchange 2013.
Thank you.
