At my organization we are running Exchange 2010 SP1 and using archive mailboxes. We recently purchased another company with several hundred users and want to enable archiving of their mailbox, anything older than 6 months would be moved to Exchange archive.
Before we do this we need to find out how many messages and the size of those messages older than 6 months would be so we can ensure that our environment has enough disk space to handle the archives.
I have searched the web and cannot find any script that will report the number of messages over x days (or months) and the size of those messages broken down by user. I know StealthAudit by StealthBit technologies can do this and most of there jobs are using Powershell.
