hi folks.
I've recently migrated from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010 (they're both still active in my domain, but all mailboxes & stuff, including recipient policies & ..., have been moved to Exchange Server 2010, though public folder is still on exchange 2003) they actually co-exist in my domain right now.
I did the process like a week ago & i'm in the process of removing the old exchange server (2003).
as I read through documents & blogs, I need to have my exchange server 2003 active for like a week or two, in order for my outlook clients to know that their mailboxes have been moved to exchange server 2010 MDB. as I know, If I remove exchange server 2003 from my domain without waiting for a week or two, then I have to configure outlook clients manually (change mailbox server settings for clients).
there are currently 0 mailboxes on my exchange 2003 server. some users joined my domain, so I needed to create mailboxes for them. so I created the users in my domain & created User Mailboxes in my Exchange 2010...here rose my problem.
outlook clients of those users can't connect to exchange 2010...outlook can't find the server automatically, neither can I connect outlook clients to my exchange 2010 manually. they can connect to their mailboxes using OWA though.
I don't know what the problem is. i'm guessing I need to create an Autodiscover (A Record) in DNS , pointing to my exchange 2010 server. (though i'm not sure if it'll give me certificate errors).
so any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance
