Exchange 2013 Components Status Inactive

I have an Exchange 2013 U1 running on a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM. I was reading through some articles and found the Get-ServerComponentStatus command. It seemed useful, so I decided to run it and see what I get. Please note this server has been up and running for around 4 months. When I ran the command I found a lot of inactive components:

How is my Exchange still functioning properly, and clients still able to use it via Outlook, ActiveSync and OWA, if there are components such as ActiveSyncProxy, RpcProxy, MapiProx and EwsProxy which are Inactive? And how can I see why they were inactive in the first place?
