I have an Exchange 2013 Standard running on Windows 2012 Standard.
I bought a Multiple Domain Certificate from GoDaddy and it works great, but for being cheap, I got a certificate with 5 domains and the Certificate Request from Exchange had more than 5, so I left some of the domains out thinking that the parent domain will cover the child.
Example: I thought that DomainName.com will cover servername.DomainName.com
The error is with the child domain name, and it happens to be the .local from AD internally.
From outside it works great.
So my question is, can I get a certificate for servername.domainname.com or should I get a certificate of 10 domains that will replace all the domains and will that create a problem/outage in Exchange?
Any ideas?
