How can I cut off user's displayName from "FROM" header?

Hello!

Is there option in Exchange to make header FROM look like: "<john.smith@contoso.com>", instead of "John Smith <john.smith@contoso.com>"? It is not good for us to do it by correcting displayName attribute in AD, because other software uses this attribute.
