Last week I migrated Exchange 2007 (running on a small business server) to a new server running Exchange 2013. Everything went really smooth, I got all mailboxes moved on Wednesday and finished moving public folders on Thursday. things continue to run great on Friday. I have not decommissioned the old exchange yet.
Sunday afternoon the Exchange 2013 server restart due to normal maintenance (no windows update) and since then a bunch of exchange services fail to start. During initial startup, the following services won't start: Frontend Transport, Health Manager, RPC Client Access, Unified Messaging, Unified Messaging Call router.
After the server is up for about 20 minutes, I can manually start all exchange services except for Migration Workflow, RPC Client Access and Unified Messaging. Both of these services timeout during startup. The only thing I can find in event viewer is a System log that the service did not start.
Can anyone help me with how to fix it? Are there any logs that I can look at to get more info about what is causing this?
