I have a Win Server 2012 and installed Exchange 2013 on it. I would like to create backup all mailboxes on every day to export all mail data to a .pst file. First I tried to use the New-MailboxExportRequest powershell command in command line, but I recognised that the created .pst file is too large. There are 4 simple e-mail address in the mailbox, and the size of exported pst file is too larga(about 600-700Mb). Why? When I delete these 4 mails and run the export command again, the size of created pst file not small or 0, but 600-700Mb.
The comman: New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox John -FilePath "\\server\PST\john.pst\"
