Microsoft Exchange (powershell) in-use mailboxes corruption?

A considerable number of our mailboxes are giving the error :

WARNING: The object c0e1229a-f91f-49e9-b2b2-25ea5020c95c has been corrupted, and it's in an inconsistent state. The
following validation errors happened:
WARNING: Cannot extract the property value of 'DeletedItemCount'. Source: PropTag(DeletedMsgCount), PropType(Int),
RawValue(-2117), RawValueType(System.Int32). Target: Type(System.Nullable`1[System.UInt32]), IsMultiValued(False).

in the powershell when trying to run Get-MailboxStatistics, as well as in the exchange admin center when attempting to look up their recent usage. Acknowledging the error in the exchange admin center allows us to see a very normal looking mailbox usage report. The problem is, while about half of these are unused or deleted mailboxes that we could diagnose by just deleting, several of them in fact are very often used. Their users have no issues using their email, sending/receiving constantly, and in my opinion these errors have probably existed for a while considering how recently I have joined and started automating some of the procedures with powershell.

how can we resolve this issue, as the results being printed in serveral powershell scripts are pretty nonsensical and filled with these warnings.
