I have a SBS 2011 standard with Exchange 2010 SP3 (rollup 2).
The complete windows backup (using Windows Server Backup) reports an error on the Exchange backup: "The application will not be available for recovery".
On the event viewer I found two MSExchangeIS error events (id 9782): "Event id 9782: Exchange VSS Writer <instance GUID> has completed the backup of database <DB> with errors. The backup did not complete successfully, and no log files were truncated for this database."
After the two 9782 errors there is an ESE error event id 2007: "Shadow copy instance ... aborted"
And a VSS Warning about spsearch login (but it is previous to the backup).
There are no error events about "consistency" of the databases.
What I tried:
1) disable antivirus
2) check that on the disk there is enough space (~ 3 times the Exchange database)
3) check VSS Exchange provider (VSSADMIN list writers) which is in STABLE condition
4) check Exchange Mailbox and Public DB consistency with ESEUTIL (no errors)
I read tons of Q&A but the problem is sitll there and is driving me crazy!
Please help me to fix it!!!
