Hi,
I would like to ask if i can use the TechNet Library as a study material. For example, can i study the entire Exchange 2010 product from TechNet only?. I am a brand new to the Exchange world (just 2 yrs exp. with exchange 2003) and i have a couple of books that i find them hard to follow. From my perspective, both books are more focused to experienced administrators rather than beginners and the indecies are unorganized for beginners. For example, one of the books talks about the EMS before talking about the actual objects that EMS manages. I find them misleading. The other book teaches history lessons by talking too much about older Exchange versions, RFCs, protocols inventions birth date,..etc. Having 2 yrs exp. in Exchange 2003 is nothing compared to 2007, 2010 and later 2013. So i missed 2 big versions of a giant product and i don't want to start with 2013 before first knowing 2010. Some colleagues adviced me to ignore 2007 because 2010 is exactly the same as 2007 except for some new features in 2010 but the roles are the same. Now, i am looking for a study material for Exchange 2010.
The books that i have are:
1- Mastering Microsoft Exchange 2010. (Too much history talk)
2- Microsoft Exchange 2010 Inside Out. (Excellent for Experienced Exchange Admins)
I appreciate your advice.
