Hi Guys,
We are having a major issue with mailbox growing out of proportion for the past 5 hours, edb+stm grew from 24GB to 67GB for one of the mail store and we're getting 94 x 5MB log files per minute
Our retention periods are set to 0 and we've turned off mail archiving by GFI (all services by GFI really)
Nothing was changed on this server except our admins ran offline defrag last night in an attempt to reduce mail store size, I have checked eventID 1221 to see if it was white space gone wild, but the sizes were relatively smal
We're running Windows Server 2003 SP2, and as far as I know all patches are installed, Exchange 2003, this is on our backend server, the only change I could think off is I've installed Sophos PureMessage (Anti-spam/Anti-Virus) on the front server which has the exact same configuration, but I can't see how that would affect the backend (it was installed a week and a half ago, and it has been working flawlessly)
Can anyone help? Let me know what other information can help. I'm pulling my hair out and running out of ideas...
