When creating a linked mailbox I get the following error:
In PowerShell:
Failed to resolve the linked master account and verify it exists in a forest different from the one hosting Exchange. The error messasge is : Failed to create a connection to any of the servers in the topology provider.
The scenario I have:
Domain-A.com (Resource domain where Exchange is placed)
Domain-B.local (separate domain where user objects are placed)
There’s a verified outgoing trust (forest transitive) where the Domain-B trusts Domain-A, the trust is verified and works, I can ping the DC of Domain-B from Domain-A and DNS resolves good.
Also all the necessary ports Exchange needs are opened in the firewall:
53 88 137 139 389 445 464 636 3268-3269
I can successfully telnet to all this ports.
When I start the new Linked mailbox wizard I use an account with admin privileges in the Domain-B, at the moments the Account is being verified I get the mentioned error.
