I have Exchange 2013 CU7 Installed and Running well until last week, my Mailbox Database which is only one database in our organization is failed to Mount, this is what I did so far:
Backup Folder that contain DB and all Logs
Run eseutil /mh, and said its in Dirty Shutdown
Run eseutil /r /l /d, and still in Ditry Shutdown
Run eseutil /p and /d after it, and finaly its Clean Shutdown
Try to Mount and it still failed, the error is:
Failed to mount database "Mailbox Database 1507266746". Error: An Active Manager operation failed with a transient
error. Please retry the operation. Error: Database action failed with transient error. Error: A transient error
occurred during a database operation. Error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80040115,
ec=-2147221227)
try to move the logs file to other folder, it still the same error, the last conditions is the contentindexstate is failed all the time, even the db is in ditry or clean shutdown, and I also noticed when the db is in clean shutdown after I did the recovery process, the status immediately become dirty after I try to mount it with that error pop up.
I only have 2 solution now, the first one is restore the latest backup, but this one is challenging since the logs file is 3,000,000 files, and windows server backup only have 1000 limitation files.
And the second one is try to create another DB and move everyone to new DB, I did this part, all user is in new DB now, but the system mailbox (Arbitration) is still in broken DB.
My question is:
If I choose the 1st option, can I only restore the DB file without the logs, I know I ready so many article in Internet, I just want to make sure 100% if this one is working and anyone tell me the right procedure to do it?
and If I choose the 2nd option, how to force move the system mailbox out to new DB since the broken DB is dismount
