Hello guys.

I have a problem in Cumulative Update 7 that when importing multiples PstS, I identify the problem of performance below.

I have hardware, memory and CPU available enough.

It's a bug or problem known?

Log a user off the domain

We have users who are chronic lock outs. They forget to update their exchange accounts on their devices, or company apps that require login. Is there a way force an individual user account to log off all the devices so they remember to put in the new password?

Fresh installed Exchange 2013 SP1 - ECP or OWA keep refreshing can't login

Hello dear members,

Have a problem with the Exchange server 2013, with login.

2 servers running both Windos Server 2012 R2

I have installed 2 servers. 
- 1 Domain server with AD
- 1 Server he is member of Domain. And there I installed fresh Exchange 2013

But after the installation, I want to try login in the ECP url on the exchange or on the AD server.
But when im entering the domain\name (Test.local\administrator) it's only refreshing. It DOESN'T go login.
And if I enter a wrong password it says that the username or the password is incorrect, so i'm filling the correct password.

Why I can't login on the \ecp webpage. 
Hope you guys can help me with this painfull problem.

Exchange 2013 ECP shows no OU's when browsing on some servers.

I have 6 Exchange 2013 servers. Two are primary, two are for replicating mailboxes for failover, and two are in Germany hosting Germany Mail. The 4 servers (Failover site and Germany) are unable to show any OU structure when browsing for the OU to create a MB in or a DL. The ones in Primary site do show. I have come across all the other "fixes" about adding the entry in the Web.config file. That does not work, and besides, I do not have the workaround set in the primary site and it shows the OUs.

I have seen others complain about the same thing, but there is no update or resolution for them.

When I create a MB in my primary site, I get a Warning: The mailbox was created successfully but some properties weren't saved. Close the message, then in the mail-box list, double-click this mailbox, set the properties, and click Save.

Don't understand why that is happening either but the mailboxes do work well and are fine. We are still in co-existence with 2010 but only 1 MB is there and that is soon to be decommissioned.

From EMS all OU's enumerate correctly. Anyone have an idea or solution?

Exchange 2010 Internal/External Recipient Limits Setup

We are currently running Exchange 2010 and want to reset recipient limits for internal and external users. We are not so much concerned with the amount of emails being sent internally (within our domain), but we would like to restrict external emails. This particular request is for a user sending 1000+ emails from a personal DL (contact list). I understand that limits are set at 3 levels... Organizational, User Mailbox, Send/Receive Connectors (External mail) with the lowest being the most restrictive.

Our Organization limit for 'Maximum number of recipients' is currently set at from 250. We would like to raise this number to lets say 1000 maybe 2000, because as I mentioned above we are not concerned with internal recipients, but would like to keep the restriction for external recipients at around 250. According to my research this can be done by setting the 'MaxRecipientsPerMessage' through the send/receive connector and this is where I am stuck.

Our current settings are as follow:

'Maximum number of recipients' Organizational limit is 250.

Transport Server settings 'PickupDirectoryMaxRecipientsPerMessage' is 100.

Receive Connector 'MaxRecipientsPerMessage' is 5000.


Would I have to create a separate send connector? We currently have a connector for our mail gateway only.

In order to meet my goal of sending internal emails to 2000 recipients and still restrict any external emails to 250 recipients, Would I just need to up the Organizational limit to 2000 and reduce the MaxRecipientsPerMessage to 250? Would this work or would you recommend another way.

ECP not working correctly.

I upgraded Exchange 2013 to cu 14 the other day. Since then ECP has not been working Right now the form is not showing up for ECP. It just shows a login box. When I upgraded is there some sort of config file that was overwritten that I need to fix or restore from a backup?

EMS : Set-InboxRule SendTextMessageNotificationTo failing

Having a problem trying to apply the SendTextMessageNotification Parameter to a shared mailbox,   when I try I get the following


Set-InboxRule 'Name' -Mailbox Mailbox -SendTextMessageNotificationTo '5555555555'

A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'SendTextMessageNotificationTo'.

Email on behalf on a distribution group

Hi, 

Sorry, I am not able to find the Exchange 2010 forum so I just post my question here.  I hope you dont mind. 

We have a hybrid environment of Exchange 2010 and O365.  I am trying to send an email to our users on behalf to a distribution group.  On the on-prem Exchange, I have already added myself under the properties of the distribution group properties>group inforamtion>managed by.  I issue the "set-distributiongroup "IT" -grantsendonbehalfto myuserlogonname, I am still getting "you dont have sufficient permission."  

Please advise if you know where I should check.

Hi,

We have a single Exchange 2013 server and are getting this error many times in a day.  I haven't been able to find a solution and was wondering if anyone came across this error or have any suggestions.

Get-MessageTrackingLog Plagued with HealthMailbox System Probe Drop Smtp Agent

Trying to filter out the healthmailbox entries from a script we use to view failed transactions in the message tracking log for Exchange. Here's our script:

Here's a snipped of the output:

RecipientStatus in Message Tracking Log is blank

Does anyone know why Message Tracking Log in 2013 Exchange would be blank?

RecipientStatus         : {}

This particular message was sent to three people from an external person. The users say they didn't get the message but I see it in MessageTrackingLog but unable to tell if it got there or not. This is not the only message where I see this. Is it because it is to multiple email addresses? I read there are cases of this when the user mailbox does not exist or is disabled.

unable to delete default database in exchange 2013

Hi there.

Exchange 2013 - cu 14

We wanted to get rid of the default DB.

Mailbox Database 1339021697

The problem is if we want to remove it thru exchange admin center gui we recieve an error:

Now if we run commands:

Unable to connect disconnected mailbox

HI Team,

I need help to connect a disconnected mailbox, where i get the below error when connecting the mailbox.

Exchange server 2007 Store.exe high CPU usages.

Hello Folks,

Need yoursuggestion to troubleshoot subjected issue. 

Current Environment: Exchange server 2007 SP2  (2 Mailbox server deployed in SCC cluster, 2 HUB and 2 CAS in NLB). Symantec Mail security is also installed and configured.  

Issue: Store.exe utilizing high CPU (around 80% to 90%). High utilization is not continuous but it is happening very frequently. e.g. every 20 min.

We are checking event logs but we didn't find any clue. We are monitoring store.exe utilization through process explore. Also i have used perfmon to monitor RPC request and RPC Operation/Sec. screenshot is attached. 

Please suggest another troubleshooting options.

Exchange 2013 - Journal mailbox archive not working

I have created a new database for archiving the journal mailbox content and enabled the In-place archive for journal mailbox.
Journal mailbox is about 1.1 TB in size with above 7,000,000 items in the inbox.
I have currently applied Default MRM policy to the journal mailbox which should move items older then 2 years to archive mailbox.
But the problem is that none of the messages are getting moved to the archive mailbox.
Is that because it is still going through the 7,000,000 items and tagging them? Does this also increase the number of exchange logs being generated.
Or does the MRM only move items on a weekly basis?

I have another MRM policy applied my mailbox which is successfully moving items older then 1 year to the archive mailbox.

What can I do to troubleshoot this?
And is there a powershell command which I can use to move older inbox items to In-place archive mailbox.

I have set In-Place hold and In Place Litigation for femailboxes including one test mailbox , now i would like to verify that these settings are implemented properly. Is there anyway that i can test this.

Just One User Can't Send Email - the rest works!

I have just one user that can't send email outbound whether inside the organization or outside.  They can receive inbound emails from within the organizaiton or outside the organization.

I have reviewed their setup and attempted a new profile on several different computers with several different office suites.  The rest of my users function normally.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?  Exchange 2010 SP3 with updates.  Office Suites 2010, 2013, and 2016.

Unable to send an email to a user in Distribution List.

Hi There,

We have an application that sends out an email notification to a Distribution List whenever there is a failure of an event.

The interesting part is the user who triggers the email (and also part of the DL) doesn't receive the email when it is sent to the DL.

When we try and do a test email to the same DL from outlook, she receives the email.

Any thoughts?
