I would like you to help me regarding this.
I want to learn exchange server 2013 or 2010, To learn that and to setup a small home lab i have purchased the following.
I need your expert advice whether i have the right thing to learn or is there any other things to buy and how to start?
Hardware requirements i have.
Server requirements: Rackable server Refurbished, Intel s5000PSL Motherboard, Intel Xeon Quad Core dual Processor, 12GB Memory, 300GB HDD,
ADSL connectivity: 4Mbps Unlimited Internet Connectivity for my daily internet activities. I dont have static ip as this s very expensive in oman.
Domain Name: I have purchased one domain and it is active.
Below are my questions:
1. I have installed windows 2012 datacenter edition in server.
2. I am planning to install windows server 2008 r2 as a virtual machine in that server and trying to configure AD and exchange in that virtual machine. ( Please advice me on this is it possible)
3. Because i dont have static IP, is it possible to configure exchange server and run it? What are the alternative?
4. Domain name is enough ? is there anything is required related to this? Please advice Iam confused regarding this.
5. Internet connectivity 4 MBps line is sufficient?
6. How mails will get routed thru my exchange and what all required to setup home exchange server for my domain name?
7. what all software's i require to run efficiently this exchange server and licenses require to purchase?
8. Please guide me how to manage?
Please help me to setup home exchange server and this will help me to increase my exchange server knowledge
