Exchange server 2013 - Temp and Queue folder keeps growing

Hi all,

We are having issue like many others, that Queue and Temp folder in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\data\ keeps growing.

After some Research, recomendations is to either extend the volume, move path to another drive, adjust safety net, renaming Queue folder then restart transport service so that it generates New Queue folder so we can delete the old one to free up Space.

I find that none of the solution Works in long term, since we will have to keep deleting, renaming, extending even those logs are moved on another drive. Its just the question of time before we have to do it.

Shouldnt temp folder be written over by default after certain time and that mail.queue in Queue folder grow only to certain amount of size?

We are using bat file to cleanup other log files used for Exchange, but havent managed to find a way to clean up the temp folder.Reason for this is content in that folder does not have an extension.

The command we are using is:

forfiles.exe /p "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\data\Temp" /s /m *.* /d -14 /c "cmd /c del @file"

Have tried to change *.* to blank and also **,but didnt help.

Is it possible to modify any settings so that those folders doesnt exceed certain size?

Thanks!
