Limiter les permissions aux utilisateurs

Bonjour tous,

J'ai Exchange 2010 qui tourne depuis des mois,pour question de sécurité je voulais interdire au dévéloppeurs d'envoyer des messages  à partir de n'importe quel récipient.Au moins ils dévraient le faire avec son aval , exchange dévrait leur demander un mot de passe par exemple, avant que leur application envoie un mail sinon n'importe qui peut faire un code et envoyer des spams par exemple à partir d'un récipient de notre organisation.J'ai pensé  au paramétrage du SENDONBEHALF ou SENDAS mais d'après plusieurs tutoriels je n'ai pas pu.Pouvez-vous m'aider à configurer cette limitation?

After completionof the fullVSSbackup,allE0000000.loglogswere not cleaned.Does anyone knowthe procedureto solve?

EDB files ocuppy 120Gb

LOG files ocuppy ~390Gb

change first name and primary email address

Hi all, I have been tasked with changing the first name & primary smtp address of approximately 300 mailboxes, while retaining the legacy smtp address. There are multiple shared mailboxes with the same first name (321654.sales, HR, support etc)

current first name: 321654 to New name: Madrid

current first name 987654 to New name: Vienna

current SMTP: 321654.sales@domain.com to madrid.here@domain.com

current SMTP: 987654.sales@domain.com to vienna.here@domain.com

Etc

I have a csv file with the headers for "old" & "new" name but trying add the address piece to the powershell command

some pointers would be great while I scan the web :) and learn all sorts of other stuff!

PowerShell for Exchange- Getting primary SMTP addresses from display names...

Hi,

I am new to Powershell and was just wondering if it is possible to do the following:

  • Import a list of users, either text or csv file- in the format "Hindley, Ryan"
  • Find the primary SMTP address of each user in the list.
  • if more than 1 user is found with the same name select none and report it on screen.
  • export list of primary smtp addresses to a file in a location set by me.

Below is what i have so far and works if the list of users is in the format "Ryan Hindley"

$mailbox = get-content C:\Users\Ryan.hindley_adm\Desktop.\users1.txt
$output = "C:\Users\Ryan.hindley_adm\Desktop.\users2.txt"

{$mailbox.primarySmtpAddress}

Cannot update GAL because of non valid monitoring mailbox

Hi all,

When I try to use cmdlet Update-GlobalAddressList, the shell indicates to me that the update is impossible due to an non valid recipient "domainname/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/Monitoring Mailboxes/HealthMailboxXXXXXXXXX" where"XXX" is a string of caracters.

Any idea about that ?

Linking Exchange to Google App

This is the setup:

I have registered a domain (XXX.COM) on Google App, through enom, where by browsing to gmail, users can easily access their mail.

I would like to bring an Organisational Exchange Server to the party!

I have gone for the whole-brain approach, and internally registered a domain (XXX.DOM).

The Exchange server is behind a router, therefore registered with a private ip (192.168.X.X). It however, can still access the internet via NAT configuration on the router.

Internal mails, where users are registered as user@XXX.DOM work fine.

So this is my dilemma:

1. Is there a way for new users being created to AUTOMATICALLY have their email addresses registered as user@XXX.COM

2. (the tricky part) Link Exchange to Google.

NB: I have obtained the MX records from Google and added them to my DNS server.

(I KNOW ITS QUITE A BIT BUT EVEN A TUTORIAL LINK WOULD SUFFICE)

virus adding receipents

I sent out an email to 4 legit addresses.  The delivery report shows going to those 4 servers. When they received the email there  were additional addresses added some were legit addresses and some were not. We are trying to figure out where possible virus originated at delivery or receipt. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

unable to send email to hotmail , live , outlook, and msn

Hello Everyone are facing a problem that we can't send any email to outlook, Hotmail, MSN, and Outlook.com all our emails are rejected. I contacted outlook.com team and they said that we are sending to many emails or namespace mining they gave me a a specific time and date when this happened, my problem is that we didn't recognize any unusual activity while checking the logs from the mail flow, any other idea how can we check if there is any malicious emails that has been send in this particular date using exchange management shell as per Outlook team it  happened  in the 10 of December.

I followed below tech-net link but no luck, there are certain clients that use OL2007 with exchange 2010 in our environment, almost every second folk is reporting the issue.. certainly its something more than a 'PR_Sent_Representing_Name or PR_Sender_Name property of the recurring meeting missing or corrupted. Could someone please suggest me a way out to get this fixed. ?

Remove-Notification

There is a notification in the Exchange 2013 EAC which will not go away.

Get-Notification shows it as a MailboxExport with a type of ExportPST and a status of Queued.

It's from a year ago and running the command Get-Mailbox-Arbitration|Start-ManagedFolderAssistant did not help.

Get-MailboxExportRequest does not show any existing mailbox export requests. (I always remove them when finished). 

So this is an orphan notification, about a non-existent mailbox export request, from a year ago, which the managed folder assistant will not clean up.

How do we remove it?

Exchange 2013 - How to stop single CAS Role

Hi all,

In my environment there is a Exchange 2013 server multi (CAS + Mailbox) roles installed, it doesn't have enough RAM to run both roles so I want to keep only Mailbox role running on this server. As I know, uninstalling individual CAS role isn’t supported in case multi roles installed and I don't want to reinstall Exchange 2013 on this server (I also want to keep CAS role on this server so I can use it - just in case).
Can I can stop all services related to CAS role so they don't consume RAM anymore ? and which are ?
Should I do that in services.msc or Exchange Power Shell ?

Please give some advice and thank you very much.

Level 1 (Helpdesk) Administration and Security in Exchange 2010

In Exchange 2010, we have roles setup for our Level 1 Administrators, where they are allowed to create Exchange mailboxes, forward mail from/to Exchange Mailboxes, add aliases, add users to distro lists, etc etc.

However, we would like the ability to restrict these users from granting mailbox access to another user.

Is there a way to restrict this so that our Level 1 Administrators CANT grant full mailbox access to any one's existing Mailbox account?

Total size used in Drive c is not reflecting correctly from the Drive c size available

We have 2 Windows 2012 R2 server with Exchange 2013 servers installed which are part in DAG group, the exchange servers are working fine. I am just troubled with one of the exchange server because the Total size used in Drive c is not reflecting correctly from the Drive c size available, the database is on the drive c. We have 2TB in drive c and the total used space is about 270GB but if you look at the available space its  more than 1TB is used. I am worried because maybe one day the disk will become full,below are the captured image. Note, the other exchange server is reflecting the available size correctly. These are 2 identical servers so i am expecting that these 2 servers will have same available size. Hoping for any help..regards

2013 Role or Permission to enable Mobile Device Block/Allow on user

I need to enable a group to be able to block and allow an ActiveSync device on a users mailbox.  I currently have this group setup with the Recipient Management role, but that role only allows Delete and Wipe.  The other options for Allow and Block are greyed out.

Exchange Health manager service terminating CU7

I have noticed that since installing CU7 that the health manager service is terminating fairly regularly on our mailbox servers. It does not seem to do this on the CAS servers. So we will just see event 7031 in the event logs with the usual helpful message

The Microsoft Exchange Health Manager service terminated unexpectedly

Does anyone know what is causing this? I haven't been able to find any comments about other people having this issue so far

Problem with Exchange 2010 scripts after installing PowerShell 4.0

Hi

After installing new updates for MS Exchange 2010 and PowerShell 4.0 I've got problems with PS scripts using buil-in

exchange commands.

I wrote interactive script for searching e-mails. Here is a pice of code where I get error after installing PS v4.

....

$SearchContent=Read-Host "Write sentence to find"

Get-Mailbox | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery "$SearchContent" -TargetMailbox "Discovery Search Mailbox" -TargetFolder "Inner box" -LogOnly -Loglevel Full | Out-Null

....

After installing PowerShell 4.0 I get that bug and report in TargetMailbox is not genereated.

The property keyword isn't supported.

At C:\Administration\Scripts\T-SearchMail.ps1:122 char:1
+ Get-Mailbox | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery "$SearchContent" -TargetMailbox "Disco ...
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Using PowerShell 2.0 everything was ok.

How to solve this problem?

In exchange 2007 and 2010 this feature is possible through the management console

It´s possible in Exchange 2013?

Script to delete emails based on age?

Hello,

I would like to create a powershell script for Exchange 2013 (CU10) that will delete all email items in a users mailbox that is older than either 90 days for some users, and 2 years for some other users.  I find those users by pulling the group that they are members of like so:  Get-DistributionGroupMember "NinetyDays" -ResultSize Unlimited | Get-Mailbox

But then it is entirely unclear to me how to go about deleting the desired messages.  I am thinking about adjusting the following logic and including it appropriately with the above command:

$DT = (Get-Date).AddDays(-90).ToString("MM/dd/yyyy")
Get-Mailbox | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery "received:< $DT" -deletecontent -loglevel Full

but there are numerous reports that it works and doesn't work based on which version of exchange you are on, and not just which major version, but which patch level you are at as well.  It's downright painful trying to sort through online documentation from Microsoft, and any exchange 2013 documentation NOT from microsoft seems to end with "I ran into a problem with this and had to contact microsoft support". 

If anyone has anything like this readily available it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, yes we are doing this instead of retention tags and retention policies.  That is because retention tags and policies don't seem to apply themselves in any predictable behavior, and they do not seem to log any activity to anywhere, even if it does something.

Shadow Queue Length spikes to 1.8447e+019

I was looking at my servers health and noticed that HubTransport\Total.Shadow.Queue.Length.Above.Threshold.Monitor was reported as Unhealthy.  I used Performance Monitor to look at the queue level and see it go from 1 or 2 to extremely high at roughly 2 minute intervals.

I have one Exchange 2007 server and 2 2013 servers.  I am in the process of migrating to 2013 and have only one mailbox on the 2013 side.  The 2013 server with the DBs mounted is having the spikes.  The other 2013 server hovers around 0-3.

Is the queue really getting that high or is it being displayed/calculated wrong?

creating new users - Exchange EAC vs. AD Users and Computers

I'm currently using Exchange 2007 and working on upgrading to Exchange 2013.  In the older 2007 version I remember reading somewhere that it would be better to create users in AD Users and Computers first and then go to the Exchange Management Console and create their mailbox. 

In Exchange 2013, is this process really needed anymore?  Or is it safe to just create new user accounts with mailboxes using the Exchange Admin Center?
