Hi,
The Exchange environment I work with has some issues with content index states.
We have a DAG with 3 servers. All 3 of the database content index state showed failedandsuspended. The database copies are all ok. I went through some troubleshooting to recreate the content index state on the active database and this has come back healthy.
The other 2 copies still show as failed and suspended and I cannot get them to a healthy state.
I have tried deleting and recreating the content index state, and I have completely removed the database copy, none of which has worked.
MS Support have looked into this and suggested we update to CU7 or later. We currently run on CU4.
I have 2 questions
If I fail the database over using Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase with the -SkipClientExperienceChecks switch. what effect will this have?
If I need to shut the server down with an active database running on it, is there a best practice for this such as putting the server into maintenance mode?
Thanks
